To preserve and enhance the rule of law in El Dorado County by providing all persons a fair, efficient, and accessible forum for resolving disputes, protecting public safety, and righting wrongs.
Holidays and Vacations
Full time employees receive ten paid holidays and four floating holidays per year. Full time employees accrue vacation at the rate of ten days per year. After four years of continuous service, employees accrue fifteen days of vacation per year and after ten years of continuous service, accrue twenty days of vacation per year.
Full time employees accumulate twelve sick leave days per year.
Court employees participate in the County of El Dorado’s retirement program through the Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERS). CalPERS retirement shall be the benefit offered by the County CalPERS program in effect at the date of
hire. El Dorado Superior Court employees do not pay in to Social Security.
The Court offers medical, dental and vision insurance coverage to employees and their eligible dependents. The Court also provides group life insurance and long-term disability for court employees.
Employee Assistance Program
Employees may use this program for up to six visits per incident per year at no cost to the employee. The services provided are completely confidential.
Employees may elect to participate in:
- 457 Deferred Compensation plan
- Flexible Spending Plan - medical and dependent care expenses
- Voluntary Life insurance for employee and dependents
