In October 2002 the El Dorado County Superior Court reduced hours of operation of the court's public counters in an effort to reduce operating expenses without eliminating staff and programs that serve the public. Each of our court locations currently has different hours of operation on each day of the week and each court location is closed during the lunch hour. Comments and suggestions from members of the public indicate the need for the Court to provide access to the public counters during the lunch hour and to provide consistent hours of operation. Our goal in changing our public counter hours is to provide one court location on each end of the county with public access during the lunch hour. Each court location open during the lunch hour will be available to take all filings.

Effective December 15, 2003, the hours for the public counter for each court location will be as follows:
